Theresa Grainger – Company Director
Theresa’s interest in film & media started in 2004 when she was part of a team making an Adult Educational Programme for DVD.
She has gained widespread experience in everything from storyboarding to co-directing, leading the creative process and post-production to end product. Her involvement in all aspects inspires her time and again in the broad range of media Breakthrough Productions produces.
Theresa also greatly enjoys taking on the role of interviewer, host and presenter when the client needs or request it.
Darren Manden – Production Manager
Darren grew up with dreams of filmmaking. With aspirations of becoming a filmmaker he started training in various filmmaking disciplines and spends most of his time shooting, editing and working with motion graphics.
Darren’s strong held belief that passion and attention to detail in all aspects of production is really the difference that makes the difference in the world of video production.
Along with Breakthrough Productions he has spent time at several production houses and is slowly becoming addicted to coffee!, his attention to detail and creative flair is sort after by some of NZ’s leading Production Companies.
Matthew Zanders – Lighting Technician
They say “Everything related to vision is related to light”. Matt understands the concept that lighting forms the basis of what you see or do not see and has an eye for detail when it comes to lighting the set. He has just the right combination of technical and creative ability to produce the best visual impression.
Linda Lord – Project Co-ordinator
We call Linda the company chameleon as she has this amazing ability to blend in and adjust her skill-set as needed. She can shift easily from Events and Project Co-ordination to helping out with filming, administration and she even played an extra in our film/documentary Project 101010 – Pill or Perception?
